The Order Fulfillment Agent makes that work more predictive. It continuously monitors commitments, identifies at-risk orders, pinpoints root causes and simulates recovery options. It can then recommend an action and support execution through connected workflows, allowing planners to focus their judgment on protecting customer commitments.
The Risk Management Agent addresses a different but related challenge. It monitors internal and external signals for potential disruptions, evaluates their possible business impact and recommends mitigation. Virtual “war room” collaboration and closed-loop execution tracking help teams coordinate the response across suppliers, parts, orders and production operations.
Together, the agents help Lenovo move two important workflows away from late, manual investigation and toward earlier detection, informed decisions and coordinated action.
Building trust and delivering measurable results
Putting AI into daily supply-chain operations required more than connecting data and deploying agents. Lenovo trained its supply network teams, designed the experience around accessible natural-language interaction and used continuous feedback to strengthen confidence in AI-supported recommendations.
Human oversight remains central. High-risk and exceptional situations retain stable processes and expert review, while Lenovo’s application and data architecture underwent enterprise architecture, security and internal compliance review.
As part of Lenovo’s broader digital supply-chain transformation, iChain strengthened decision-making that helped improve delivery accuracy by 30%. The Order Fulfillment Agent also helped teams make and execute fulfillment decisions 3x faster.
For risk management, Lenovo achieved an 85% risk-assessment accuracy rate and accelerated risk response by 4x. Teams can now identify emerging disruption earlier, assess its implications with greater confidence and align the right stakeholders before the impact escalates.
