IBA Group’s mobile payment acceptance solution tapXphone has successfully completed Mastercard recertification, demonstrating compliance with the payment system’s latest requirements for contactless payments on mobile devices. This marks the second successful recertification of the solution in recent months.
What the Recertification Covers
The recertification verifies that tapXphone processes contactless transactions correctly, protects payment data, and enables Mastercard card acceptance on NFC-enabled mobile devices.
This milestone provides banks, acquirers, and payment providers with assurance that tapXphone meets Mastercard’s requirements for mobile payment acceptance services.
Previously, Mastercard included tapXphone in its list of recommended mPOS solutions on the Mastercard Engage platform. The catalog brings together technology partners that help banks and businesses implement payment services. Both this recognition and the successful recertification confirm that tapXphone meets Mastercard standards and is suitable for international mobile acquiring projects.
