ABB’s Krishna Prashanth wins Industry Personality of the Year in 2026 Instrumentation | ABB

Krishna Prashanth, Global Product Line Manager for Electromagnetic Flow Measurement and Global Segment Manager for Water & Wastewater at ABB’s Measurement & Analytics division, was named Instrumentation Industry Personality of the Year at the 2026 Instrumentation & Electronics Awards.

The Instrumentation & Electronics Awards celebrate excellence and innovation across the instrumentation and electronics sectors. Krishna Prashanth’s transformative work in digital measurement, global water solutions, and sustainable water infrastructure, as well as commitment to the circular water economy, were recognized as advancing the water sector worldwide.

“The water industry is incredibly dynamic, with continuous drive for improvement,” said Krishna Prashanth. “Our customers face increasingly complex challenges, from managing higher volumes of data to ensuring precise control in demanding environments. I am thrilled to receive this award as a personal recognition but also as a recognition of the innovative work ABB is doing to advance the water sector worldwide.”

“Congratulations to Krishna Prashanth for this well-deserved award,” said Jacques Mulbert, President of ABB’s Measurement & Analytics division. “Through his work, Krishna has made a difference to how water utilities manage their most critical assets.”

Krishna Prashanth has held multiple roles since joining ABB in 2010, including more than seven years as Global Product Line Manager Electromagnetic Flowmeters. In this role, he led the transformation of ABB’s electromagnetic flowmeter portfolio, incorporating modularity in each product. Enhancing sustainability, modular design allows for the reuse of design elements, components, and best practices, reducing resource consumption and waste.

Krishna Prashanth also led the integration of Ethernet-APL across ABB's broader flow measurement portfolio, enabling manufacturers to transition from traditional point measurement to intelligent, connected systems in chemical factories, oil & gas operations, power plants, and the water industry.
