Horror-Themed Halloween Event Features 9 Monsters Over 9 Nights
This Halloween we’re celebrating horror games, one of the most popular genres on Roblox, with a new platform-wide event: The Hollow. Starting tomorrow and running through Nov. 2, this shared survival event will be available to anyone with a Roblox Select or Roblox account (ages 9 and older in most regions*) and features nine well-known horror games.
Beginning at 2 p.m. PT on Oct. 22, the event opens in the Hollow, where a different monster appears each day for nine days, and ends with a live finale on Oct. 31.
Players will also find new and familiar Halloween-themed avatar items for sale on Marketplace for a limited time, including the Hollow Horseman, dozens of exclusive avatar items, and new seasonal makeup looks. Active Roblox Plus subscribers are able to access the hub early, at noon PT, to explore before the full event begins. Subscribers will also gain access to an exclusive profile frame and background—and an exclusive item launcher they can use to gift items to other players during the event. Anyone with an active Plus subscription will be able to keep the event theme beyond the finale.
One Survival Game, Nine Days
Each day for nine days, players entering the event hub will find a new maze to navigate as they search for clues and evade monsters. The continuous survival game takes place within the Hollow, which grows increasingly unsettling as the event progresses. Each day, a new monster will enter the game, including:
- The Deer from 99 Nights in the Forest
- Seek from DOORS
- Twisted Dandy from Dandy’s World
- Piggy from Piggy
- The Inspector from Scary Shawarma Kiosk
- Mimic from Animal Hospital
- Biter, from Demonology
- Hiachi from The Mimic
- The Overseer from Warden
As players complete quests, they’ll earn exclusive UGC and rewards that can help them survive another night. Every day creator champions will play via livestream from inside the Hollow. Creators including LimaMosca, KreekCraft, Bundun, and SirDapper will be uncovering clues and helping players survive another day. A live finale for all players will begin the morning of Oct. 31, and players can continue collecting rewards until noon PST on Nov. 2.
Halloween Fun for All Ages
While The Hollow is aimed at players ages 9 and older, there’s plenty of Halloween-themed fun and games for younger players, both on and off of Roblox.
- Experience Family Zone with Duck Duck: Parents can explore Roblox’s safety features and parental controls through Roblox’s Family Zone. With the new Duck Duck Halloween crossover event, parents and kids can explore together, hunting for hidden ducks in costumes while learning about online safety.
- Play Halloween-themed games: Games for younger players are also going all out for the season. Adopt Me! is bringing back the Hauntlet minigame with new rewards and pets. Welcome to Bloxburg’s Halloween event will include minigames like Pumpkin Panic and Ghost Hunt with personal and group rewards.
- Sugar-free trick-or-treating: Roblox Mini Pack, now available at Target, offers a candy-free treat for Roblox fans. Each $20 Mini Pack includes 40 physical coins, each redeemable for 50 Robux to spend on avatar items and in-game purchases, perfect for handing out to trick-or-treaters or adding to Halloween party favors.
