After more than two decades building software teams across five continents, Svitla Systems is planting its flag in Miami.
The global engineering company is opening an office in the Magic City, where founder and CEO Nataliya Anon sees a meeting point between its operations in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. The move brings Svitla Systems closer to existing clients while giving the company a base for further growth across all three markets.
Svitla enters the city with considerable scale. The company has more than 1,300 employees and adds roughly 60 to 70 people each month, some of them in the Miami area. Its teams work across Software Engineering, Data, Cloud, and Artificial Intelligence.
More than 500 of those professionals are based in Latin America, including Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Colombia. Another 500-plus work across Ukraine, Poland, and Romania. Miami, long shaped by its ties to Latin America and growing links with Europe, sits neatly between those two groups.
The company already has clients in Florida, while its chief technology officer and chief AI officer are based in the state. Miami's startup and venture capital community is also a strong fit for Svitla, which got its start serving young Silicon Valley companies.
"We staff teams of developers for startups that are starving for technical talent and enable them to get to market faster," says Nataliya.
For nontechnical founders, Svitla serves as the full development team. For larger companies with engineering leaders already in place, it can add specialists from its global workforce as projects grow. AI is also rapidly becoming a larger part of that work.
Svitla's move comes with the usual business logic: clients, talent, and access to fast-growing markets.
"Miami puts our people and our clients in the same place," Nataliya comments. "That is how we deliver what we promise."
