L3Harris Awarded Gold Status for Commitment to the UK Armed Forces Community

UK Ministry of Defence award recognises exceptional support for serving personnel, veterans, reservists and military families.

L3Harris has achieved Gold status under the Ministry of Defence's Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), the highest level of recognition available to organisations that demonstrate outstanding support for the Armed Forces community.

The award recognises employers that go above and beyond to support serving personnel, reservists, veterans, military families and cadet force adult volunteers, while actively championing the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant.

Achieving Gold status marks an important milestone in L3Harris' Armed Forces Covenant journey, building on the company's previous Silver Award recognition and reflecting its long-standing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community across the UK.

"This recognition reflects the dedication of our people and our enduring commitment to the Armed Forces community," said Duncan Thomas, Vice President and UK Country Executive, L3Harris. "We are incredibly proud to support those who serve, have served, and the families who stand behind them. The professionalism, leadership and commitment of the veterans and reservists on our team have strengthened our business and helped us deliver more mission-aligned solutions for our military customers.”

As a trusted partner to the UK's defence and national security community for more than a century, L3Harris recognises the value that military experience brings to its workforce. Across its UK operations, the company actively recruits veterans and reservists to play important roles across the business, bringing leadership, operational knowledge and technical expertise gained through military service. These skills strengthen L3Harris' ability to deliver advanced defence, communications and mission-critical capabilities for customers in the UK and around the world.

As a forces-friendly employer, L3Harris works to ensure members of the Armed Forces community are equipped to succeed and thrive. The company provides paid leave to support reservist training commitments. It also maintains a SERVE Employee Resource Group, which connects employees with military and emergency services backgrounds, promotes awareness across the business and supports colleagues transitioning from military to civilian careers.

The Gold Award also recognises the wider culture of support that exists across L3Harris sites throughout the UK. From Remembrance Day commemorations and Armed Forces Day activities to support for military charities and community organisations, employees regularly demonstrate their commitment to honouring those who serve and supporting the broader Armed Forces community.

As L3Harris continues to support the UK's defence and security priorities, it remains committed to attracting, developing and supporting talent from the Armed Forces community and recognising the vital contribution they make to the business, its customers and the wider defence sector.
