TAIPEI, TAIWAN – August 4, 2026 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS, OpenBMC, and platform root-of-trust firmware, today announced their participation in two technical sessions — one with Astera Labs, one with ASPEED Technology — at the 2026 OCP APAC Summit, August 11–12 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2).

Today’s AI infrastructure spans CPUs, GPUs and accelerators, high-speed interconnects, power shelves, and liquid cooling. Scaling it depends on firmware that initializes every component, exposes health telemetry, and enforces security from the silicon up. The following sessions focus on two critical areas: connectivity health and platform security:

From Hyperscaler Requirements to Open Standards: Delivering AI Fabric RAS Through COSMOS and OpenBMC, presented by Janny Au, Director of OpenBMC Engineering at Insyde Software, and Caleb Shetland, Senior Principal Firmware Engineer at Astera Labs, demonstrates Astera Labs’ COSMOS Rack-Scale Connectivity software model. The session exposes SerDes-level telemetry — per-lane eye height, BER, link state, error counters, and LTSSM logs — through DMTF Redfish APIs, standardizing RAS access across multi-vendor AI fabrics and accelerating root-cause analysis. Wednesday, August 12, 2:45–3:00pm, Room 701H.

Silicon-Native Root of Trust for OpenBMC: Integrating AST2700 iRoT into Open Data Center Firmware, presented by Jeff Chang, Insyde Software, and Chiawei Wang, Software Manager, and Neal Liu, Assistant Software Manager, of ASPEED Technology, details the joint reference architecture integrating ASPEED’s AST2700 silicon-native Root of Trust into Insyde’s Supervyse® OPF OpenBMC platform. Built on the open-source Caliptra specification with DICE identity, PUF-based key storage, and post-quantum crypto readiness, the design anchors the full BMC firmware stack in a single-chip trusted execution environment, supporting OCP DC-SCM and Platform Firmware Resiliency objectives. Wednesday, August 12, 1:40–2:00pm, Room 701H.

“Scaling AI infrastructure starts with firmware that can see and trust every component. Working with Astera Labs, we’re bringing SerDes-level telemetry into OpenBMC through standard Redfish APIs, and with ASPEED, we’re anchoring the entire BMC stack in silicon-native root of trust,” said Bryant Lee, AVP, System Firmware Business at Insyde Software.

Visit Insyde Software at booth #PL22 during the OCP APAC Summit to see how the company’s UEFI BIOS, platform root-of-trust, and OpenBMC firmware technologies boot, secure, and manage AI infrastructure at scale.
