My Measurement Assistant+ is an industrial IoT web application used by ABB’s customers in over 100 countries. The AI-driven platform provides access to support, diagnostics and technical expertise around the clock, simplifying industrial device maintenance.
Users of My Measurement Assistant+ in Sweden represent five percent of daily users globally. In Sweden, the solution is used in critical applications from water purity analysis to industrial stack emissions monitoring, helping customers to ensure their processes are working correctly and improving operational efficiency.
“My Measurement Assistant+ is a hugely innovative solution that combines Gen AI, device-specific context, Dynamic QR Codes, documentation, diagnostics, condition monitoring, service workflows and remote-support access into one practical support experience,” said David Lincoln, Digital Lead at ABB’s Measurement & Analytics division. “The solution did not simply add an AI chatbot. It created a connected digital assistant for industrial measurement device support.”
My Measurement Assistant+ is integrated with ABB Genix™ Copilot, a GenAI solution running on Microsoft Foundry, developed by ABB in collaboration with Microsoft to help industrial companies improve efficiency, productivity and sustainability by contextualizing vast amounts of data. With conversational chats available in Spanish, German, Italian, French, Chinese and Portuguese, in addition to English, My Measurement Assistant+ serves customers in more geographies than ever before with fast answers, analysis and advice, helping to resolve most technical issues in minutes.
“The project required a high level of technical competency across multiple disciplines,” Lincoln said. “It combined expertise in industrial measurement devices, analyzer systems and service processes with modern digital technologies, including cloud architecture, web application development, APIs, data integration, GenAI, cybersecurity, identity and access management, UX design, testing and product lifecycle management.”
The winners will be announced on October 1 at an awards ceremony held in conjunction with Dagens industri’s Tech Strategy Summit in Stockholm.
