As we celebrate 30 years of Pokémon, the celebration is lighting up Twitch. As part of the festivities, Pokémon Night Out, the electrifying fusion of dance music and the world of Pokémon, is bringing an unforgettable live experience to fans, headlined by world famous DJs, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on October 24 and The O2 in London on November 10.

We’re bringing that same energy to Twitch. Today, the next phase of the Pokémon Chat Badge Collection arrives, timed to Pokémon Night Out and packed with evolutions, a brand-new badge line, and a limited-time event you won’t want to miss.

A quick recap: back in August, we launched our first-ever Pokémon Chat Badge Collection, with a Pichu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander chat badges, earned by watching and subscribing to channels in qualifying Pokémon and other categories*. The response was incredible, and it was only the beginning.

Evolve Your Collection

Your Pokémon chat badges are ready to grow. Starting today you can also earn the evolved form of the Pokémon chat badges you’ve already collected simply by equipping them and watching 20 minutes a day for 3 days of qualifying content. Then you’ll receive the evolved form as an additional badge. Equip that badge, watch qualifying content again, and you’ll receive the last evolution as another additional badge.

Pichu → Pikachu
Bulbasaur → Ivysaur → Venusaur
Squirtle → Wartortle → Blastoise
Charmander → Charmeleon → Charizard

No additional subscription purchases required. Just keep watching qualifying channels, and your equipped badges will earn the new evolved badges. These badges will no longer be able to be evolved after Jan 30, 2027, so start watching today!

The Gengar Line: A Limited-Time Drop for Pokémon Night Out

To celebrate Pokémon Night Out, we’re introducing spooky chat badges featuring Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar.

How to get Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar:

Gift or subscribe (prime subs are ineligible) to a channel between October 16 and October 24, 2026 in a qualifying Pokémon or other category, like Just Chatting, to earn a Pokémon Night Out Themed Poké Ball containing the Gastly chat badge.**
To open this ball, head to a qualifying category and watch 20 minutes a day for 3 days to unlock Gastly. These days do not need to be consecutive. As long as you have one day of unlock progress, you can unlock Gastly until November 23rd.
Go to the Drops Panel below chat to equip your Gastly chat badge, and keep watching qualifying content for another 20 minutes a day for 3 days to earn the Haunter evolution.
Go to the Drops Panel below chat to equip Haunter and watch qualifying categories for 20 minutes a day for 3 days to get Gengar!
Your chance to evolve this badge ends Jan 30, 2027.
