I’m excited to announce that Amy Weisenbach will join Coursera as our new Chief Marketing Officer, effective November 30, 2026.

Amy joins us at an important moment as we bring Coursera and Udemy together to build one of the world’s most comprehensive skills development platforms. With trusted content from leading educators and industry experts, we have an extraordinary opportunity to help more people discover learning that can advance their careers and improve their lives. Amy brings deep experience connecting people with valuable content and turning that connection into lasting engagement and business growth.

Most recently, Amy served as Chief Marketing Officer at The New York Times, where she helped transform a trusted journalism brand into a digital subscription powerhouse. She led marketing across a growing portfolio—including News, Games, Cooking, Audio, Wirecutter, and The Athletic—helping introduce new products, reach new audiences, and drive greater engagement across a fast-growing subscriber base. Her work combined compelling brand storytelling with performance marketing to deliver real business outcomes.

That experience is especially relevant to Coursera. As AI reshapes work, helping people understand which skills they need and how trusted learning can help them move forward is essential. Amy’s ability to build consumer demand, drive traffic and engagement, and maximize the value of content will help us reach more learners and deepen our connection with our global community.

Earlier in her career, Amy led global marketing at Wilson Sporting Goods and held marketing roles at Beam Suntory and Unilever.

Amy also brings a personal connection to our mission through her work as an educator. She has taught brand strategy and consumer behavior as an adjunct assistant professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business and currently serves on DePauw University’s Board of Trustees. Her perspective as both a marketer and an educator will be deeply valuable to our leadership team. She holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Public Policy from DePauw University.

Our marketing team brings tremendous creativity and dedication to serving our learners, partners, and customers, and I’m excited for Amy to build on that strong foundation as we expand Coursera’s reach and impact around the world.

Please join me in giving Amy a warm welcome to Coursera.
