Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro: designed to work as hard as it entertains

Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro is the most advanced tablet we’ve ever built. Stamped from a single piece of aluminum, it measures just 6.5mm thin, super lightweight, and is engineered for perfect balance. The Nanomatte display uses precision-etched anti-glare technology to dramatically reduce screen glare. We partnered with Corning on a photolithography process that etches a precise, pixel-aligned texture into the glass at the sub-pixel level—unlike conventional matte screens that sandblast the surface and scatter light unevenly—preserving detail and color accuracy. Designed exclusively for the Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, our new Amazon Alexa Tablet Pro Pen and Amazon Alexa Tablet Pro Keyboard turn your tablet into a full productivity workstation. The Pro Pen is a USI 2.0 active pen with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt detection, magnetic docking, and wireless charging. The Nanomatte display creates a natural friction so it feels like pen on paper, not glass. The Nanomatte display takes it further: razor-sharp text, a paper-like feel, and readability in any light. Plus, you can highlight, underline, write notes, and markup pages directly with the Pro Pen. Annotations in your books also sync across Kindle apps on pen-supported devices and on Kindle Scribe.

Alexa+ Built In provides always-ready intelligence

Alexa+ is built into the core of every tablet, delivering help that works with whatever you’re doing, when you need it. Say “Alexa” or tap the “Ask Alexa” button, and Alexa appears instantly—answering questions, suggesting next steps, controlling your smart home, and more—in a new experience we customized for tablets, without leaving what you’re doing or opening an app. Alexa also provides the same highly personalized experience you would expect—your content, your smart home, your recommendations, your preferences—from the moment you sign in.

With On-Screen Intelligence, you can ask Alexa to look at what’s on screen for real-time, in-context help. Say “Alexa, which of these hikes is best for me?” while browsing trails and she’ll read the page, pull out the key details, and help you plan based on what she knows about you. Pull up a game schedule and ask her to add every date to your calendar—she’ll take care of it and flag the conflicts, too. On-Screen Intelligence can be enabled or disabled from Settings at any time, with a clear visual indicator whenever Alexa can see the screen.

For the most natural experience, live sessions let you open a continuous, hands-free conversation—no wake word required between questions, so it flows like a natural conversation. Tap the Alexa icon to start a live session and converse naturally back and forth. If you've enabled On-Screen Intelligence, you can also choose to share your screen, so Alexa follows along in real time as the context changes—spot a recipe on Pinterest and she'll pull out the key details; see a product in a TikTok video and ask her to find it on Amazon.

Private by Design

As with any Alexa experience, privacy is paramount and within your control. Every On-Screen Intelligence feature is off by default and requires a deliberate opt-in. You choose when Alexa listens, when she sees your screen, and what she remembers. A visual indicator is always present when Alexa is active, and you can disable any feature at any time.

Personalized from the moment you sign in

Every Amazon Alexa Tablet connects all your Amazon experiences right out of the box. A personalized For You feed brings together what you’ve been watching, reading, listening to, and playing, all in one place. Read in the Kindle app and never lose your place when you pick it up on the tablet. A new Dynamic Tab on the home screen surfaces what’s useful—content you’re in the middle of, recommendations, and helpful suggestions.

Amazon Alexa Tablet 11: built for entertainment

Launching alongside Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro is the new Amazon Alexa Tablet 11—an 11-inch device with a 2.5K display at 276 pixels per inch, 90Hz smooth scrolling, and a 16:10 cinematic aspect ratio—designed for streaming, gaming, reading, and browsing. A thin aluminum unibody houses an 8-core processor with 8GB of RAM, dual Dolby Atmos speakers, and up to 15 hours of video playback. Alexa+ is built in with the same Dynamic Tab, voice and touch access, and personalized intelligence. Available in Graphite, Amethyst, and Matcha.

Amazon Alexa Tablet 8: vivid color with the portability of an e-reader

The new Amazon Alexa Tablet 8 is the most portable tablet in the lineup, with an 8.7-inch display in an all-aluminum design that weighs just 329g. Measuring 7.95mm thin, it’s built to hold in one hand and carry anywhere, and it’s ideal for reading, browsing, and streaming on the go. It’s powered by an 8-core processor with Wi-Fi 6 and up to 14 hours of video playback, with the same Alexa+ intelligence built in. Available in Graphite, Rosette, and Teal.

Also new: Amazon Kids Tablets

We’re also introducing all-new Amazon Kids Tablets. Ready-to-go bundles come with a device, a kid-proof case, and a year of Amazon Kids+, with 8.7-inch and 11-inch sizes both available. With distinct versions for pre-K kids (ages 3+) and kids 6+, younger kids get a soft bumper case in designs from franchises like Paw Patrol and Barbie; older kids get a slim hard case with a built-in kickstand. Kids+ is also adding creative tools like Storybuilder, which lets kids use their voice to create original illustrated stories, and a redesigned Parent Dashboard gives parents weekly insights into what their kids are exploring and learning.

The new Amazon Alexa Tablets are available in a range of configurations. Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro starts at $499.99 (Nanomatte starts at $549.99) in Graphite, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Amazon Alexa Tablet 11 starts at $329.99 in Graphite, Amethyst, and Matcha, with 8GB RAM and 64GB storage. Amazon Alexa Tablet 8 starts at $229.99 in Graphite, Rosette, and Teal, with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Accessories include the Amazon Alexa Tablet Pro Keyboard ($149.99), Amazon Alexa Tablet Pro Pen ($89.99), and a range of protective folios.

All three Amazon Alexa Tablets as well as Amazon Kids Tablets will be available for purchase starting October 14, 2026, in the United States, Mexico and Canada. They’ll be available in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain on October 19. The Amazon Kids Tablets come to Japan on October 14. Customers can purchase directly from Amazon.com, and the tablets will also be available at select retail partners including Best Buy and Target.
