Established in 1938 as electrical contractor Electro Service Lassaut, K.L. Green Energy has evolved into a long-standing residential and commercial solar installer in Belgium. Today, under the leadership of Kristof Lassaut, son of Theo Lassaut, it is one of the country's longest-standing Enphase partners, delivering consistency, expertise, and an unwavering focus on quality. And with Kristof's son Ronan now on the team, customers can count on that same level of service for decades to come.
A family approach to business
From its inception, K.L. Green Energy has prioritized a deeply personal approach to business. The team believes in always providing a dedicated, human experience, and it has built its reputation on the lasting trust that comes from clear, direct communication and genuine relationships with clients.
“People want stability and reassurance they’ll have support if they run into issues,” said Kristof in a recent conversation with Enphase. “With our technical expertise and transparency, customers have the confidence that we’ll continue to be there for them down the road.” He added that many employees comment that they’ve never worked with a company that is so close with its customers. “They love how almost everyone is treated like family,” he said with a smile.
When he took over the business in 2006, Kristof chose to add solar to the company’s contracting services not only because he believed in its economic and environmental value, but also “because it makes people happy.”
A partnership in excellence
K.L. Green Energy’s partnership with Enphase began in 2011, when the company installed its first Enphase system. It was only the third Enphase installer in Belgium. It is now the longest-standing, and it hasn’t looked back since. The technology was still new to Belgium, but as an electrician, Kristof immediately recognized what set Enphase apart from string inverter-based systems: intelligent microinverters that enable real-time panel-level monitoring and control.
“Once you use Enphase one time, you won’t want to use anything else,” Kristof said. For over a decade, K.L. Green Energy has remained 100% committed to Enphase, choosing to partner exclusively with the platform across its residential and commercial projects. The team continues to value Enphase for its accessible support services and a collaborative relationship that prioritizes clear communication and feedback opportunities.
To help customers understand Enphase, Kristof created a detailed visual guide that explains the system’s capabilities, from temperature and frequency monitoring to generation and consumption. During sales conversations, he presents both Enphase and string inverter options, letting the customer decide based on their unique priorities. Once they understand the difference, the vast majority choose Enphase.
“We don’t sell a price,” Kristof said simply. “We sell quality. And that means Enphase.”

A recent residential project in Lommel demonstrates how K.L. Green Energy’s technical expertise, backed by Enphase’s reliable technology, delivers high-quality energy solutions tailored to each customer’s specific needs.
The customer’s primary goal was to make their home off-grid capable, so the K.L. Green Energy team thoughtfully designed an Enphase-based system that would reliably and safely deliver energy independence in a single home energy solution.
The comprehensive system, which included solar panels with IQ8 Series Microinverters, three IQ Battery 5Ps with FlexPhase, an IQ System Controller, and an IQ EV Charger 2, was efficiently installed by Kristof’s team in a matter of days. “I’m blessed with top-notch employees who pay attention to every detail,” said Kristof. “They complete every single installation the way it should be done.”
The customer was overjoyed with the final result and how it empowered them with the flexibility to control and optimize energy on their own terms.
