When Longevity Matters

Perhaps the strongest proof of a manufacturing platform's value isn't what happens in year one. It's what happens after ten years of daily production use.

One company that knows this well is Paragon Rapid Technologies, a UK-based advanced manufacturing specialist that has relied on Neo technology since the platform's earliest days.

Paragon's first Neo system, affectionately known as "Trevor," has been in continuous operation for a decade, delivering more than 45,000 hours of print time while achieving 97.6% uptime. Trevor has powered continuous part production with an average job time of 24 hours alongside longer duties, including an uninterrupted 151-hour example. The system has supported everything from highly detailed prototype work to specialist low-volume production applications, helping customers accelerate product development and bring products to market faster.

As Phill Adamson, Managing Director of Paragon Rapid Technologies, explains:

"Ten years ago, we invested in the Stratasys Neo platform as part of our strategy to replace ageing systems with the best technology available. We recognised Neo as an industry-leading solution, offering a significant advancement in build size, surface quality, and reliability.

This investment enabled us to differentiate ourselves from both established competitors and the growing number of entry-level 3D printing providers, while creating new opportunities for innovation and business growth.

More importantly, the Neo systems strengthened Paragon's additive manufacturing capabilities and reinforced our commitment to delivering exceptional results for our customers. Their outstanding accuracy, surface finish, and repeatability allow us to produce highly detailed prototypes, as well as support specialist low-volume production applications.

A decade on, our Neo systems continue to perform at the highest level. They remain a cornerstone of our additive manufacturing offering, helping customers accelerate product development and bring high-quality products to market with confidence."
