H2O.ai Launches H2O-3 Secure for Production AI in Regulated Enterprises

New commercially supported edition of the H2O-3 used by 2 million data scientists adds production deployment, governance, and audit-ready controls

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., October 28, 2026 — H2O.ai, the trusted Sovereign AI Platform with the software and expertise to run predictive, generative, and agentic AI in production, today announced H2O-3 Secure, a commercially licensed, production-grade edition of its open source machine learning platform, H2O-3. Available immediately, H2O-3 Secure gives enterprises in financial services, insurance, telecommunications, healthcare, and the public sector the security, governance, and audit capabilities they need to run machine learning in production, built on the same H2O-3 core their teams already use.

H2O-3 is one of the world’s most widely deployed open source machine learning platforms. As more of the models built on it move into regulated production environments, organizations face rising demands for vulnerability management, model governance, and audit readiness. Self-managed open source deployments place those responsibilities entirely on internal teams. H2O-3 Secure gives them a commercially supported path instead.

“Every H2O algorithm stays free and open source, true to our founding mission. But when a model decides a loan, prices a policy, or flags fraud, open source alone isn't enough. H2O-3 Secure gives that model security maintenance, governance, and accountability. The MOJO is where the value for our commercial customers accrues in production”Sri AmbatiCEO and founder of H2O.ai

Built to FedRAMP High engineering standards

H2O.ai has achieved FedRAMP High Authorization for its H2O AI Cloud for Government platform. H2O-3 Secure is built to the same security controls and engineering standards, bringing that discipline to the H2O-3 workloads customers run in production.

For organizations operating under SOC 2, ISO 27001, or ISO 42001, H2O-3 Secure provides supportability, audit-supporting capabilities, and structured security maintenance designed to help customers meet the requirements of those frameworks.

What H2O-3 Secure delivers on day one

  • Runs on the enterprise stack you already have. Production-grade deployment on Hadoop, Spark, and Kubernetes; the MOJO runtime for production model scoring; enterprise single sign-on; and access to Enterprise algorithms, including Managed XGBoost Service.
  • Governance and audit at scale. Role-based access control, tamper-evident audit logs, and end-to-end model lineage, with operational controls designed to support governance, audit, and compliance programs.
  • Models you can trust, and explain. Production-grade supervised and unsupervised algorithms, including GLM designed to support regulator-facing interpretability requirements, all deployable via MOJO. H2O AutoDoc automates model documentation, and built-in drift monitoring tracks models in production.

H2O-3 Secure can be deployed on its own or as part of H2O AI Cloud, the trusted Sovereign AI Platform. Combined with H2O AI Cloud, it provides the security, governance, and audit controls required to run AI in production.

MOJO: the production artifact for regulator-ready models

Every model trained in H2O-3 can be exported as a MOJO, a self-contained scoring artifact built for production. MOJOs score in a few hundred microseconds per prediction, so the same model risk teams validate is the one that runs in fraud, credit, and pricing systems. H2O-3 Secure adds the support, security maintenance, and controls enterprises need to run MOJOs at scale.

Open source stays open

H2O’s math and algorithms remain free and open source under Apache 2.0, true to the company’s founding mission, and H2O-3 OSS remains the foundation of the global H2O community. H2O-3 Secure is a separate, commercially licensed edition for regulated enterprises that need commercial support, structured security maintenance, and production controls for the MOJOs their models run on. Licensing terms for existing H2O.ai enterprise customers are unchanged.

H2O.ai created the industry's trusted Sovereign AI Platform because organizations should own their AI: their agents, models, data, and results, run anywhere from cloud to air-gapped.

Super Agent orchestrates predictive, generative, and agentic AI in one system, with observability and governance, empowering regulated and public sector organizations to get value from AI. Moving from pilot to production takes expertise, from top-ranked data scientists, including Kaggle Grandmasters, to forward-deployed engineers embedded with customer teams.

Built on a decade of open source, H2O.ai is trusted by 20,000+ organizations, half the Fortune 500. AT&T, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Workday, Progressive Insurance, and NIH rely on H2O.ai to cut cost and risk and own their AI future.

Through its AI for Good program, H2O.ai applies technology and investment to non-profits and academia solving hard problems in health, education, and the environment.
