Pumpkins are popping up in grocery stores, costume fashion shows are filling living rooms, and maybe a grown-up or two has snuck a few early pieces from the candy stash (shhhh, we won’t tell!).

Spooky season has arrived, but we keep things not-so-spooky in the Khan Academy Kids clubhouse. Every year, Kodi and her friends celebrate with cute Halloween coloring pages. The Khan Academy Kids app gets a costume, too! Your child’s favorite math and reading activities dress up for the season.

We’ve rounded up our favorite free printable Halloween coloring pages for kids. Inside, you’ll find pumpkins, jack-o’-lanterns, a witch on her broom, and the Khan Academy Kids friends in their costumes. We’ve added worksheets for preschool and kindergarten, plus a chance to design new costumes for the crew.

Cute Halloween coloring pages starring Kodi and friends

Kodi, Reya, Peck, Ollo, and Sandy love Halloween as much as your little ones do, and they star in both of these coloring pages.

Halloween pumpkin coloring page

Kodi and friends got creative in the pumpkin patch this year. Some of their carvings even have noses and ears! Once the coloring is done, try decorating real pumpkins together at home. What kind of pumpkin friends will your kids make?

Trick-or-treat costume coloring page

What will your child be for Halloween this year? The Khan Academy Kids crew has already picked their costumes and is heading out to trick-or-treat around the neighborhood. Kids can color each outfit and the little pumpkin buckets everyone is carrying.

Not every page needs a cast of characters. These three stick to Halloween classics.

Jack-o’-lantern coloring page

A row of jack-o’-lanterns lights up the walkway on Halloween night, and each one has its own face. Color them in, then talk about the face your child would carve: happy, scary, funny, or something else entirely.

Witch coloring page

This little witch and her cuddly kitty are too cute to spook anyone. Kids can color the big full moon behind them and the jack-o’-lanterns floating by. For an extra challenge, have your child make up a story about where the pair is flying tonight.

Haunted house coloring page

Nobody knows who lives in this house, with its tall towers, pointed roofs, and spooky garden gate. Your child gets to decide! Color the scene, then dream up who might be home on Halloween night.

Halloween costume coloring pages

The Khan Academy Kids friends each picked a costume this year. Print one page or all five, and let your child choose the colors. Want to design new costumes instead? Jump to the Design a Costume activity pack below.

Kodi the bear as a space cadet

Kodi is ready for liftoff in her space cadet costume, with a pumpkin bucket for collecting treats along the way.

Ollo the elephant as a Franken-friend

Ollo’s Frankenstein’s monster costume comes with stitches and a striped shirt. It’s more silly than scary.

Peck the hummingbird as grapes

Who knew a bunch of grapes could fly? Peck’s costume might be the most creative in the group.

Reya the red panda as a unicorn

Reya’s unicorn costume has a horn, flowers, and plenty of room for rainbow colors.

Sandy the dingo as a crayon

Sandy dressed up as a crayon, which makes this one extra fun to color. What color should Sandy be?

Free Halloween worksheets and activity sheets for preschool and kindergarten

Coloring is only the start. These two printables add counting practice and creative drawing to your Halloween fun.

Halloween math counters worksheet

Cut, color, and count! This worksheet is full of cats, witch hats, pumpkins, bats, and spiders for little learners to color, cut out, and count. Younger kids can practice counting out five objects. Older kids can use the counters to work out simple addition and subtraction problems.

Looking for more counting practice? Your child can find counting lessons in the Math tab of the Khan Academy Kids app.

Design a costume for Kodi and friends

The Khan Academy Kids crew could use a few more costume ideas, and your child can help. Print the templates and draw a brand-new costume for each character. Then share your creations with us at @KhanAcademyKids on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook!

Keep the Halloween fun going in the Khan Academy Kids app

Out of printer ink? The Khan Academy Kids app has Halloween fun built in. All October, your child’s favorite math and reading activities have a seasonal twist, so learning feels like part of the celebration.

Khan Academy Kids is free for children ages 2–8. It’s made by the nonprofit Khan Academy and rated 5 stars by Common Sense Media.
