October 29, 2026 / Hangzhou, China. Dahua Technology unveiled its latest Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) ecosystem at the recently concluded Dahua Global Telco-SOC VSaaS Online Event. Under the theme “One Cloud, Multi-Tenant, Infinite Industries,” the event outlined how telecom operators, internet service providers, and security operators can use their existing infrastructure and service networks to deliver cloud-based video surveillance and AIoT services.

The conference featured customer insights into the VSaaS business model, followed by Dahua experts discussing Dahua’s VSaaS Solution, carrier-grade cloud architecture, and the integration of Xinghan large models and AI agents. Together, these form an offering designed to help partners develop subscription services combining video, cloud storage, AI analytics, and professional monitoring.

An Open Ecosystem for Service Development

Ms. Gabby Guo, Director of Dahua Overseas Telecom & Security Industry, explained Dahua’s role as both the architect of its PaaS HUB and a business operations companion for partners. The cloud-native platform brings together data, video, and AI capabilities, supporting connections across different AIoT devices and allowing independent software vendors and developers to build their own SaaS applications.

“We've built a cloud-native platform that can carry millions of devices and tens of millions of users,” Ms. Gabby said.

This approach connects Dahua’s technology with operators’ network infrastructure, customer relationships, billing systems, and field services. Partners can package surveillance and related services into a single subscription, giving customers an alternative to substantial upfront investment in local infrastructure and maintenance.

Dahua also outlined its support for industry applications, from retail store inspections and school safety to residential services and urban safety management. Its combination of edge AI boxes and central computing servers supports deployment across these scenarios, backed by more than 3,000 scenario-based algorithms.

This ecosystem is built on Dahua’s technical expertise in the public cloud sector, accumulated since 2013. Dahua Public Cloud has connected hundreds of millions of devices across 180 countries and regions worldwide, supporting tens of millions of users and processing tens of billions of messages daily.

Carrier-grade Architecture for Scalable Operations

Mr. Sharathkumar Valiyaveetil Paramel, Senior Expert in Dahua VSaaS Solutions, presented the platform’s technical foundation. Its cloud-native architecture supports deployment on AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, and operators’ self-built cloud environments. Multi-tenant isolation, elastic resource scaling, and zero-downtime upgrades are designed to support independent customer environments as service demand grows.

For private deployments, Dahua’s highly available configuration can support up to 100,000 devices with a minimum of 11 servers. The platform can scale to as many as 10 million device connections, with deployment achievable within two weeks.

Operational tools support device onboarding, video patrols, footage editing, and hosted video monitoring. An independent operations management system provides centralized visibility into

Security measures include encryption during transmission and storage, backup and recovery, and tenant isolation. DDoS protection, a cloud web application firewall, and host security protection provide additional safeguards for cloud operations.

Extending Surveillance Capabilities via Large Models

The event also announced the integration of Xinghan visual, multimodal, and language large models into the VSaaS platform. These models support visual understanding, image-and-text search, and the interpretation of instructions for automated tasks.

“Customers only need a small number of samples and a single text prompt to generate an algorithm,” said Mr. Kumar, explaining the platform’s few-shot algorithm generation capability. Users can preview the results in real time and apply the generated algorithms to inspection and secondary review tasks.

Semantic search, used with Dahua smart NVRs, allows users to locate footage through natural-language descriptions. An integrated AI Agent framework supports automated workflows, including security duty report generation.

These capabilities were illustrated through a restaurant chain deployment. Dahua developed an algorithm for overflowing trash cans and floor hygiene within three days. For uniform and mask compliance checks, combining small-model analysis with large-model secondary review increased accuracy from 80% to more than 95%, while the overall solution reduced the client’s operational manpower requirements by 50%.

Supporting Operators’ Transition to AIoT Services

From an open platform and scalable deployment to large models and AI agents, the launch of Dahua’s VSaaS demonstrated Dahua’s approach to supporting operators’ transition to AIoT service delivery. Its ecosystem helps telecom and security operators combine existing infrastructure with video, cloud storage, AI analytics, and monitoring in subscription-based services, empowering industry-specific applications and service operations, as well as helping partners develop recurring revenue streams.
